Additional fees

You must have appropriate insurance cover during your studies at the International Study Centre. 

We can add Uniplan Insurance to the cost of your tuition fees. Uniplan is designed for international students who are living and studying in the UK. Cover includes lost personal items, travel, health and medical claims. See your offer letter for more details. 

If you’d prefer to arrange it yourself, you’ll need to provide proof of equivalent insurance. It must include: 

  • cover for the full duration of your pathway or English language preparation programme 

  • at least £2 million medical and repatriation cover 

  • cancellation and curtailment cover for the cost of your travel and tuition fees.

You may need to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge as part of your visa application. This gives you access to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).

Scholarships

Are you an ambitious international student? Do you have an offer to study an academic programme at Lancaster University International Study Centre? If so, you could be eligible to receive up to £3,000 towards your tuition fees.

And, once you start your Lancaster University degree, more scholarships will be offered.

Which scholarships are available?

Regional Scholarship

Up to £3,000 one-off tuition fee reduction for your first year at Lancaster University International Study Centre.

To be considered, you must hold an offer to study an academic pathway programme at Lancaster University International Study Centre.

Scholarship availability and value may vary. If applying through an education counsellor, contact them for more information. For all other students, apply via the centre after accepting your offer.

Progression scholarships

Lancaster University offers a range of scholarships when you progress to your degree, which may include:

  • Lancaster Global Scholarship (Undergraduate): £2,000 per year of study.

  • Lancaster Global Scholarship (Master's): £5,000 in your first year of study.
